“Vishuddha,” which signifies the purity of thoughts, words, and self-expression, is the essence of the Vishuddha Chakra or throat chakra. This chakra governs how we communicate our thoughts, emotions, and truths, making it essential for all forms of expression.

Drawing its name from the throat chakra, our boutique homestay serves as the perfect sanctuary to cultivate purity and tranquillity, nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the Himalayas.

This idyllic retreat is located in Majkhali, a charming town near Ranikhet in Uttarakhand. Situated at an altitude of 5900 Feet above sea level and it overlooks a gorgeous forest-covered valley, and the tall Himalayan peaks of Trisul, Nandadevi & Nanda Kot.

PROPERTY LAYOUT

Our homestay, a holiday retreat, is a 3-bedroom duplex spanning approximately 2400 sq. ft.

Ground Floor:
Main Entrance: Step into a welcoming living room, thoughtfully designed with comfortable seating—perfect for both relaxation and social gatherings.
Bedrooms:This level features two spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, offering both privacy and convenience.
Terrace: Both bedrooms open to a serene terrace through the main entrance, where you can enjoy peaceful views of the valley.

First Floor:
Bedroom: A cozy bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is located on the first floor, providing a perfect balance of comfort and seclusion.
Kitchen & Dining: The kitchen on this level is complemented by a private dining lobby, creating a warm and inviting space to enjoy meals.
Terrace: Both the bedroom and dining lobby open out to a spacious terrace, offering sweeping views of the valley—an ideal place to relax and enjoy the tranquil landscape.

GUEST ACCESS

  • The homestay is part of a complex of 3 cottages located at 3 levels on the hill.
  • The topmost cottage is Agya, the private property where the owner’s family stays
  • The current listing, the Vishuddha is one below the owner’s cottage
  • Third homestay Anahata is below the Vishuddha
  • This is a private property exclusively for one family/group. For a larger group the two listings (Anahata and Vishuddha) can be booked together.
  • Both the homestays have private areas/patios and guests are most welcome to enjoy the areas and facilities of the homestays.
  • Some facilities like parking and walking paths are shared between all homestays.

Vehicles can drive directly to the property for convenient access. We provide 3-4 parking spaces at the designated area for your convenience.

DRIVER ACCOMMODATION

We offer accommodation for drivers within the property. Both lodging and meals can be arranged at a nominal charge.

LAUNDRY SERVICE

There is no washing machine available in the property. However, a laundry service is available nearby for a fee.

WATER CONSERVATION

Water Conservation:
Water is a precious resource in the hills, and we kindly request our guests on holiday to use it wisely. As there is no government-supplied water to the area, we purchase water for daily consumption. While we ensure an adequate supply for a comfortable stay, we ask for your understanding and cooperation in avoiding unnecessary wastage.

Excessive Water Usage:
If water consumption exceeds reasonable limits (e.g., over 5,000 litres within 4 days), our team will notify guests as this may indicate excessive usage. In such cases, guests will be asked to cover the cost of additional water required. For reference, a typical 3-bedroom house requires approximately 1,500 litres of water per day (pro rata) for normal usage.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM are in place to ensure tranquility for guests and neighboring residents.

Kitchen Use

A designated common kitchen is available for meal preparation. Our caretaker/cook will prepare and serve meals, allowing guests to relax and fully enjoy their holiday

Pets

This homestay is not pet-friendly, and we are unable to accommodate pets on the premises to ensure a comfortable experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Designated outdoor areas are provided for those who wish to smoke.

Guests & Visitors

Guests are not permitted to have visitors or friends stay overnight on the property.

Damage and Breakage

Guests are required to report any damages or breakages immediately. Depending on the severity, they may be asked to cover the cost of repair or replacement

Security of the Cottage

Guests are advised to lock their rooms when leaving the house.

Security of the Complex

To ensure the safety and security of guests, the main gates of the property are locked between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
